Bought today in Santa Cruz:

  • The Acme Novelty Library, Chris Ware - a collection I don't already have
  • Playing with Books - The Art of Upcycling, Deconstructing, and Reimaging the book Craft projects involving making things from old books, like cutting thin into strips and weaving them to make baskets, or rolling them into beads. I don't know how many of my books I'll actually use for this, but I have a lot of maps that could be nice projects, and Pat has a lot of old Christian Science books that he might donate for this purpose. He doesn't know this yet.
  • Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day, Winifred Watson
  • Nine Stories, Salinger. Nice Modern Library edition - I've had the paperback for years
  • Folk Tales from the Far East, Charles Meeker, 1927. Bought to scan the illustrations and maybe use for projects in the book mentioned above.
