Books bought this weekend at thrift stores, a flea market, and a used book store:

  • Jennifer, Hecate, Macbeth, William McKinley, and Me, Elizabeth, E. L. Konigsburg. A kids' book I think I read because I remember the title
  • Fun With Science, Mae and Ira Freeman (1943 textbook)
  • Going to Extremes, Joe McGinnis (about Alaska)
  • Numerous volumes of My Book House, a 1937 children's anthology of stories with interesting illustrations
  • The Republic of Suffering: Death and the American Civil War, Drew Gilpin Faust
  • The Great Influenza: The Story of the Deadliest Pandemic in History, John M. Barry (he wrote Rising Tide, an great account of a flood in the late teens)
