On Saturday I realized I was working myself into a grumpy mood about Christmas lights and decorations and how I hate them, which is weird because I like lights this time of year, but I keep finding myself hating Christmas lights no matter how I try to talk myself into lighting them. And I realized that maybe what I hate is the seasons changing at all. I think I'd be perfectly happy living somewhere that doesn't have much seasonal change in temperature or length of days.

(People who say California doesn't have seasons just aren't paying attention. The days noticeably change length, the temperature changes, it rains in the winter.)
