Mar. 30th, 2011 02:46 pmI was in a phone meeting this morning and people were talking about weather in New England where they're expecting a storm, and the Colorado people said it's supposed to get up to 60 degrees. I commented that we're in the 70s today.
"Where are you?"
"Cupertino."
"Oh. California. Well, at least we have seasons where we are."
God, I hate that. We have seasons here. They aren't as dramatic as elsewhere, but they're seasons. The light changes, it rains or it doesn't, the hills go from brown to green and vice versa. People who say there aren't seasons here don't know what they're talking about.
I blandly said "Oh, we have seasons - the rain season and the dry season" and everybody laughed.
