I had to get a smog test this weekend and the guy had four or five birdcages in his office with large and small birds. The African Grey parrot didn't say anything but the Amazon said "Hello!" back to me and a bunch of other things. I asked about him and the guy said he's 15 years old or so and is a star among parrots: he knows many words and three songs. I tried to get him to sing them; he didn't, but he walked up and down his perch and wiggled his head around and was adorable. I asked if he imitates any of the smog equipment sounds and the guy said no.
